Good to know

Messages from short codes (5–6 digit senders, mostly used in the US) may not be delivered.
Group messages (group MMS) aren't supported — each conversation is one-to-one.
HeyNum sends standard SMS: no iMessage or RCS features such as typing indicators.
Texts to numbers in other countries use pay-as-you-go credit.

Can I text from my computer?

Yes — that's what HeyNum is built for. Open heynum.com in your browser and you can read and send texts from your computer, your tablet or your phone, all in sync.

Are my messages saved?

Yes. Your conversations are stored in your account, so they're there on every device you sign in on. They stay until you delete them or close your account.

Can I send photos?

On US, Canadian and Puerto Rico numbers, yes — picture messages (MMS) are supported. Numbers in other countries send and receive standard text messages.

Does a long message count as several SMS?

Like on any phone, a text longer than 160 characters (70 with emoji or non-Latin characters) is sent in several parts, and each part counts as one SMS. HeyNum shows the count as you type.

Can I text people in other countries?

Yes. Texts to numbers in your HeyNum number's country are included; texts to other countries use pay-as-you-go credit.
