Keep your real number to yourself

Your phone number is a key to your identity: it's linked to your accounts, your messaging apps and often your name. Give a HeyNum number to everyone you don't know yet, and keep your personal one for the people who matter.

  • A separate line for everyone else
  • Switch it off or replace it anytime
  • No ID — not even for us

Why a second number

Your personal number, protected

With your personal number

  • Your number ends up in marketing databases and data leaks.
  • Anyone who has it can look up your messaging profile, your name and sometimes more.
  • Changing your personal number means updating your bank, your family and every account.

With a HeyNum number

  • Hand out a HeyNum number to shops, forms, deliveries and new contacts.
  • If it gets spammy, switch it off — or replace it in under a minute.
  • Your personal number stays with your family, your friends and your bank.

Set it up

Ready in three steps

It takes about a minute — and you never need to show an ID.

  1. 1

    Pick a number

Get a number from your own country — it looks completely normal to anyone you give it to.

  2. 2

    Use it for everything public

Online forms, loyalty cards, deliveries, classifieds, first dates and new contacts.

  3. 3

    Stay in control

Silence it with the On/Off switch, set quiet hours, or swap it for a fresh number whenever you need to.

Practical tips

Five habits that keep you safe

Good advice, whether or not you use HeyNum.

1

One number per purpose

A number for shopping, another for selling or dating: if one leaks, the others stay clean.

2

Check what your profile shows

Messaging apps can display your photo and name to anyone who has your number. Keep your personal one for people you trust.

3

Keep your bank on your main number

Banks and government services should have the number you'll keep for years — your personal one.

4

Never share a code

No genuine buyer, landlord or match needs a code sent to your phone. Anyone who asks is trying to take over an account.

5

Clean up regularly

Delete the conversations and voicemails you no longer need — once deleted, they're gone from your account.

Contact support
Can people find out my real number?

No. When you call or text from HeyNum, people see your HeyNum number. Your personal number is never shown — and we don't share it, because we never ask for it in the first place.

Is a HeyNum number anonymous?

We don't ask for ID, and your number isn't listed in any directory. HeyNum isn't a way to hide from the law, though: we keep the limited data needed to run the service and we respond to valid legal requests, as explained in our privacy policy.

Can I change my HeyNum number if it gets spam?

Yes. Add a new number in a few clicks and cancel the old one. Every number also includes a spam and scam shield that filters known nuisance callers.

Do you sell my data?

Never. We don't show ads and we don't sell data: we earn our living from subscriptions.

Your new number is one click away.
